33 Plaque erected in 1996. The inscription reads as follows: Erected on July 4, 1996 by former residents of Bar Haven Island to historically preserve the name of the settlement. We recall with gratitude the memory of all who made this community their permanent home dating back to the first Island settlers, including the last residents to leave at the time of resettlement in 1966.
