The Bertha Joyce II was built as the "Annetta Lovetta" at Hillview, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland by George Bennett of Port Aux Bras in 1935, 60 gross tons, official number 159657.&nbsp;This vessel was purchased by Captain Ray Berkshire of Spencer's Cove in the early 60s and he changed the name to the Bertha Joyce. The Bertha Joyce was used as a freight and collector boat in Placentia Bay and continued that role when sold to Harry Wareham of St. John’s in 1972.&nbsp;Later it was purchased by Tom Brewer of Southern Harbour (formerly of Davis Cove) and he changed the name to the Placentia Bay Queen and used it mostly as a tour boat.&nbsp; It was scrapped at Fermeuse in the early 2000s.
